Job Description:
We are hiring a skilled and dependable Laundry Specialist for a private household in Munich. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage all aspects of garment and linen care, including washing, ironing, steaming, folding, and proper storage of clothing and household textiles. The Laundry Specialist will handle delicate fabrics, designer garments, and specialty items with great care and attention to detail, ensuring they are returned in pristine condition.
In addition to operating washers, dryers, and ironing equipment, the candidate will be responsible for sorting laundry, identifying special treatment requirements, managing inventory of cleaning supplies, and reporting any garment damage or repairs needed. The specialist must maintain an organized and hygienic laundry area and follow established household protocols. This role requires discretion, punctuality, and a strong commitment to maintaining the family’s wardrobe and household linen at the highest standards.
Job Requirement:
Applicants should have professional experience in laundry services, preferably within private households, hotels, or high-end dry-cleaning establishments. They must be familiar with handling luxury fabrics, stain treatments, garment pressing techniques, and fabric care labels. The ability to differentiate between hand wash, dry clean, and machine wash is essential.
Candidates must possess excellent organizational and time management skills. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods, lift laundry baskets, and use heavy-duty equipment are required. Attention to detail, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality are critical. Fluency in German or English is beneficial. A background check and references will be mandatory. Experience with wardrobe organization and mending will be an added advantage.
