Job Description: Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Livestock Farmer to join our agricultural operation in Berlin, Germany. As a General Livestock Farmer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of livestock farming, with a focus on animal husbandry, health, and welfare. Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient and sustainable production of high-quality livestock products, while adhering to industry regulations and maintaining the highest standards of animal care. Responsibilities: Livestock Management: Take charge of the overall management of livestock, including feeding, breeding, housing, and herd health management. Animal Welfare: Ensure the well-being of the animals by providing appropriate living conditions, veterinary care, and maintaining good hygiene practices. Breeding and Reproduction: Oversee breeding programs, manage artificial insemination processes, and maintain accurate records of reproductive activities. Feed and Nutrition: Develop and implement effective feeding programs to meet the nutritional requirements of different livestock species, considering cost efficiency and sustainability. Health and Disease Management: Monitor and manage the health of the livestock, promptly identify and address any signs of illness or disease, and implement preventive measures. Facility Maintenance: Maintain and repair livestock housing facilities, fences, and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for the animals. Data Recording and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of livestock activities, such as births, deaths, health treatments, and production metrics, and generate reports as required. Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with relevant agricultural and animal welfare regulations, including environmental standards, food safety, and biosecurity protocols. Team Management: Supervise and provide guidance to farm workers and assist with their training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, implement innovative farming practices, and explore opportunities for improving productivity and sustainability.

Job Requirement: Requirements: Proven experience in livestock farming, preferably with a focus on multiple livestock species. Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, breeding techniques, and health management. Understanding of agricultural regulations and best practices in animal welfare. Ability to operate and maintain relevant farming equipment and machinery. Excellent record-keeping and data management skills. Physical stamina and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in German (spoken and written) is highly desirable. Relevant certifications or degrees in agriculture, animal science, or a related field would be advantageous.
