Job Description:
We are hiring an Urban Street Sweeper to maintain cleanliness and hygiene on public roads, sidewalks, and public spaces across Cologne. The primary responsibility of this role is to manually sweep streets, collect litter, empty public waste bins, and ensure that public areas remain free from debris and hazards. You will also assist in reporting damaged infrastructure and may occasionally help with seasonal cleaning activities like snow removal or leaf collection.
Ideal candidates should be physically fit, comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, and committed to public service. This role requires early morning or shift-based availability and the ability to follow schedules and instructions from supervisors. Prior experience in street cleaning or public sanitation is helpful but not essential, as on-the-job training will be provided.

Job Requirement:

No previous experience is strictly necessary, but candidates with prior work in cleaning, sanitation, or outdoor maintenance will be preferred. Basic knowledge of safety protocols related to public cleaning tasks is beneficial. Reliability, punctuality, and adherence to work schedules are critical.
Applicants must be able to follow verbal or written instructions and be willing to work independently or in small teams. Basic communication skills in German are advantageous for understanding work assignments and interacting with supervisors or the public when required.
