We are seeking a meticulous and passionate Art Restorer to join our heritage preservation team in Rome. In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis, conservation, and restoration of artworks, ranging from classical paintings and frescoes to sculptures and historical artifacts.
As an Art Restorer, you will assess the condition of artworks, plan and execute restoration techniques, and document every stage of the conservation process. You will work closely with museums, galleries, cultural institutions, and private collectors to preserve the historical and aesthetic integrity of each piece.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of art history, material science, and traditional and modern restoration methods. A high level of precision, patience, and respect for cultural heritage is essential.
Fluency in Italian and working knowledge of English is required for collaborating with local and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and document the condition of artworks
Develop and apply conservation and restoration plans
Use appropriate chemical and manual techniques for cleaning, repair, and preservation
Collaborate with curators, historians, and conservation scientists

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Art Restorer to join our conservation team in Rome. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in both art history and restoration science, with a deep respect for preserving cultural heritage.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art Conservation, Restoration, Art History, or a closely related field
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in art restoration and conservation
Proficiency in techniques related to painting, sculpture, paper, or mural restoration
In-depth knowledge of historical materials, artistic techniques, and chemical processes used in conservation
Excellent hand-eye coordination, precision, and patience for delicate restoration work
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills to assess artwork condition and plan appropriate interventions
Fluency in Italian and working knowledge of English to collaborate with local and international partners
Ability to maintain thorough documentation and photographic records of restoration processes
Knowledge of ethical and legal standards in art conservation
Familiarity with laboratory equipment, digital imaging, and restoration software is an advantage
