The Aquatic Facility Technician is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of all systems and equipment related to swimming pools and aquatic facilities. Based in Oman, Muscat, the technician ensures the safe, clean, and efficient functioning of public or private aquatic centers, including filtration systems, chlorination units, heaters, pumps, and other pool-related infrastructure.
Key duties include monitoring water quality and performing chemical testing to maintain health and safety standards, adjusting chemical levels as needed, and cleaning pool surfaces and surrounding areas. The technician will also inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, perform routine preventative maintenance, and coordinate with vendors for equipment replacement or upgrades when necessary.
Additional responsibilities involve documenting maintenance activities, adhering to safety regulations, and assisting in preparing the facility for special events or seasonal use. The technician works closely with facility management to ensure compliance with local health codes and operational policies.
Candidates must possess technical knowledge of pool systems, plumbing, and basic electrical components. A certification in pool operations or facility maintenance is preferred.
