Job Description of Building Electrician – Oman, Izki
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Electrician to join our construction and maintenance team in Oman, Izki. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings in compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
Key duties include reading blueprints and technical diagrams, laying out wiring systems, installing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment such as circuit breakers, switches, and transformers. The electrician will also be responsible for diagnosing electrical problems using appropriate testing devices, conducting routine inspections, and ensuring timely troubleshooting and repairs to avoid any hazards or disruptions.
The role requires a solid understanding of electrical codes, technical manuals, and safety protocols. The Building Electrician must collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other construction professionals to ensure efficient and compliant installations. A commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team are crucial.
Candidates must have a diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of proven experience. A valid electrician license and familiarity with Gulf region electrical standards will be an added advantage.
