A Climate Control Technician in Oman is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal indoor environmental conditions in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The technician performs routine inspections, diagnoses faults, and conducts necessary repairs on HVAC systems including chillers, air handlers, thermostats, compressors, and ductwork.
Duties include interpreting technical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals to carry out installations and repairs accurately. The technician ensures all systems comply with safety standards and government regulations, conducting performance tests to verify efficiency and functionality. Regular maintenance tasks such as filter replacement, system cleaning, and coolant level checks are essential responsibilities.
The role requires collaboration with engineers, supervisors, and facility managers to optimize climate control systems for energy efficiency. Candidates must be proficient in using diagnostic tools and instruments, and capable of working independently or within a team.
Preferred qualifications include a diploma or certification in HVAC technology, strong technical knowledge, and hands-on experience in climate control systems. The position demands attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to safety protocols. Fluency in English or Arabic is beneficial. Prior experience in Gulf countries is an advantage.
