Job Description:
The Disinfection Specialist in Al Khor is responsible for ensuring that all healthcare environments, particularly those under construction or nearing operational status, are thoroughly disinfected to prevent the spread of harmful pathogens. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the health of patients, staff, and visitors by maintaining stringent infection control measures in preparation for the facility’s opening.
Key duties include applying disinfectants to high-touch surfaces, patient rooms, operating theaters, waiting areas, and other hospital spaces, following the latest disinfection protocols. The specialist will also be responsible for ensuring that all cleaning equipment is properly sanitized, waste is disposed of safely, and hospital staff is trained on best practices in infection prevention.
Additionally, the Disinfection Specialist works closely with infection control teams to ensure the environment is compliant with healthcare regulations. This includes conducting regular disinfection rounds, reporting areas that need additional attention, and maintaining records of disinfection activities.
