We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Botanical Garden Curator to manage and oversee the development, conservation, and educational programs of a premier botanical garden in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to promoting plant biodiversity, environmental education, and sustainable landscape practices within the region, supporting national greening and conservation goals under Vision 2030.
The curator will be responsible for the planning, acquisition, documentation, and care of plant collections, with a focus on native and drought-tolerant species suited to the Saudi climate. Duties include designing plant displays, managing greenhouse operations, coordinating horticultural staff, and developing interpretive materials for public and academic outreach. The curator will also lead conservation and research initiatives in collaboration with universities, government agencies, and international botanical institutions.
The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of plant taxonomy, horticulture, and ecosystem restoration, along with experience in managing living plant collections. A strong background in public education and environmental communication is highly valued.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Botany, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field.
Language: Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
