Job Description:
We are seeking a brave, physically fit, and highly disciplined Wildland Firefighter to join our wildfire prevention and response team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves combating wildfires in rural, forested, and agricultural areas, protecting natural resources, ecosystems, and public safety. The Wildland Firefighter will be responsible for fire suppression, prevention, and mitigation activities, working both independently and as part of a coordinated response unit.
Key duties include constructing fire lines, operating firefighting tools and equipment, conducting controlled burns, clearing vegetation to reduce fire risks, and assisting in post-fire recovery efforts. The position also involves participating in training exercises, public education campaigns, and working closely with forestry and agricultural authorities to implement fire management strategies.
Candidates must have strong physical endurance, quick decision-making abilities, and the capacity to work under high-pressure conditions in challenging outdoor environments. Knowledge of fire behavior, weather patterns, and basic first aid is essential.
A high school diploma or relevant technical training is required; additional fire service certifications are an asset. Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is preferred. This role is critical to protecting Saudi Arabia’s natural landscapes in line with national sustainability and land conservation goals.
