Job Description: Summary: The CAD Technician will play a crucial role in the design and drafting process, using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create technical drawings and plans. They will work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to transform conceptual designs into accurate and detailed drawings. The CAD Technician will be responsible for producing architectural, structural, electrical, or mechanical drawings that adhere to industry standards and project requirements. Key Responsibilities: Create detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and plans using CAD software. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to understand project requirements. Interpret and translate conceptual designs into accurate and precise 2D or 3D drawings. Incorporate design changes, annotations, and revisions into existing drawings as directed. Ensure that all drawings adhere to relevant standards, codes, and specifications. Prepare and organize drawing sets, including plans, elevations, sections, and details. Collaborate with other team members to resolve design conflicts or issues. Maintain accurate and organized CAD files and documentation. Stay updated with the latest CAD software tools and techniques to enhance productivity and efficiency. Adhere to project timelines and deliver drawings within specified deadlines.
Job Requirement: Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Proven experience as a CAD Technician, preferably in the engineering or architectural industry. Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit. Strong knowledge of technical drawing principles, scales, and symbols. Understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes. Attention to detail and accuracy in creating drawings. Ability to interpret and understand architectural or engineering designs. Good communication and teamwork skills. Time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software is a plus.
