Job Description: An Electrical Engineer in the Energy & Utilities industry is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment used in the production, distribution, and management of energy resources. They ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure and contribute to the development and implementation of energy projects. Key Responsibilities: Electrical System Design: Design and develop electrical systems, including power generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and project requirements. Equipment Selection and Specification: Select and specify electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, motors, and control systems, based on project specifications and technical requirements. Evaluate equipment performance, efficiency, and reliability. Power Generation and Distribution: Design and oversee power generation systems, including renewable energy sources, and their integration into the electrical grid. Develop plans for efficient power distribution and ensure proper load balancing and voltage regulation. Project Planning and Management: Contribute to project planning activities, including estimating electrical requirements, preparing project schedules, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers. Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budgetary constraints. Electrical Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations. Conduct risk assessments, implement safety measures, and perform regular inspections to maintain a safe working environment. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify and resolve electrical issues through troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques. Develop preventive maintenance programs and conduct regular inspections to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical systems. Energy Efficiency and Sustainability: Evaluate energy usage and propose energy-saving measures. Develop and implement strategies for optimizing energy efficiency, reducing carbon footprint, and promoting sustainability in electrical systems and operations. Technical Documentation: Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation related to electrical systems, equipment, and installations. Maintain accurate records, reports, and project documentation. Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, contractors, and project managers. Coordinate activities with external stakeholders, such as utility providers and regulatory agencies. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering, energy technologies, and industry standards. Participate in professional development activities and training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills.

Job Requirement: Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional certification or registration as an Electrical Engineer (preferred). Proven experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the energy and utilities sector. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and codes and standards. Proficiency in electrical design software and tools. Familiarity with renewable energy technologies and power distribution systems. Experience in project planning, management, and coordination. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Adaptability to changing project requirements and deadlines. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations. Fluency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of Arabic (beneficial but not mandatory).
