Job Description:
The 3D CAD Designer in Montreal is responsible for creating detailed three-dimensional models used in the design, planning, and construction of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and construction managers, the designer transforms conceptual drawings and technical specifications into accurate and visually comprehensive 3D representations using advanced CAD and BIM tools.
Key responsibilities include developing architectural and engineering 3D models, coordinating digital files for clash detection, producing renderings for client presentations, and ensuring that models adhere to project standards, scale, and regulatory codes. The 3D CAD Designer may also support the creation of fabrication and construction documents, perform model revisions based on stakeholder input, and ensure interoperability across platforms used by design and construction teams.
Job Requirement:
Education: Diploma or degree in Drafting, Architectural Technology, or 3D Design.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in 3D CAD modeling in the architecture, engineering, or construction sector.
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and 3ds Max.
Strong understanding of construction detailing, spatial visualization, and building systems.
Ability to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical elements into unified models.
Skilled in rendering, animation, and virtual walkthroughs.
Language: Bilingual in French and English preferred.

Knowledge of Quebec construction codes and standards.
Attention to accuracy and ability to follow design specifications.
