Job Description:

The Appliance Installer in Winnipeg is responsible for delivering, positioning, and installing household and commercial appliances in new builds, renovated properties, and construction sites. This role ensures that appliances are properly connected to electrical, gas, and water supply lines in compliance with manufacturer specifications and local safety codes.

Key responsibilities include reading installation manuals, inspecting appliances for damage, connecting and testing units (e.g., refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, washers, dryers), securing appliances in place, and providing clients with basic usage instructions. The installer may also remove old appliances and coordinate with electricians or plumbers when needed.

Job Requirement:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in appliance installation is preferred.

Experience: 1–3 years in appliance installation or a related construction or delivery role.

Skills:

Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and gas connections related to appliances.

Ability to interpret technical diagrams and instruction manuals.

Strong mechanical aptitude and tool handling.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Language: Fluency in English is required.

Other Requirements:

WHMIS and basic safety training.

Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy appliances.

Valid driver’s license is often required.

Attention to detail and commitment to safe, code-compliant installations.
