Job Description: The Energy Efficiency Engineer position in Surrey, Canada, within the targeted job industry involves implementing energy-saving measures and promoting energy efficiency in various sectors. Perform energy modeling and simulations to evaluate the impact of energy-saving measures and assess their cost-effectiveness. Develop detailed project scopes, including energy-saving recommendations, implementation plans, and cost estimates. Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to design and implement energy efficiency projects. Manage energy efficiency projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with contractors and vendors. Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented energy efficiency measures and provide recommendations for optimization. Stay updated with emerging energy efficiency technologies, regulations, and incentive programs to incorporate best practices into projects. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate energy efficiency findings and project outcomes. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to promote energy efficiency awareness and provide training on energy management practices.

Job Requirement: Education: A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in energy efficiency or sustainability may be preferred. Experience: Relevant experience in the energy efficiency industry is essential. Candidates should have a strong background in energy auditing, energy management, energy conservation, or related areas. Experience with energy modeling, retro-commissioning, and implementing energy efficiency measures is highly desired. Technical Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of energy systems, energy efficiency technologies, and energy codes and standards is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with energy management systems, energy monitoring and control strategies, and energy-efficient building systems. Energy Auditing: Experience conducting energy audits and assessments in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is important. Knowledge of energy audit methodologies, data analysis, and identifying energy-saving opportunities is advantageous. Energy Modeling and Analysis: Proficiency in energy modeling software and tools, such as EnergyPlus, eQuest, or similar programs, is beneficial. Candidates should be able to analyze energy consumption data, perform energy simulations, and evaluate energy-saving measures. Project Management: Strong project management skills are required to plan and execute energy efficiency projects.
