We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Biohazard Waste Disposal Technician to join our team in Cologne. This vital role involves the proper handling, disposal, and management of hazardous and biohazardous waste in accordance with regulatory standards and hospital protocols.
Your primary responsibilities will include identifying, segregating, and safely disposing of medical waste such as contaminated sharps, needles, and bodily fluids. You will be responsible for operating specialized equipment for waste disposal and ensuring that all biohazardous materials are securely contained and removed from clinical areas. Additionally, you will manage waste storage areas and ensure they are properly maintained and labeled according to hospital and environmental regulations.
You will collaborate closely with healthcare staff to ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols. Routine inspections of waste disposal areas will be required, and you will report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate authorities. You will also document all waste disposal activities to maintain accurate records.
