Job Description:
Job Description: Acoustics Engineer
Location: Rome, Italy
Industry: Engineering & Architecture
We are looking for a qualified Acoustics Engineer to join our team in Rome under the Engineering & Architecture industry. The role involves the analysis, design, and implementation of acoustic solutions for a wide range of projects including buildings, infrastructure, and urban environments. The engineer will ensure compliance with sound control standards while enhancing acoustic comfort and environmental quality.
Key responsibilities include conducting site surveys, performing noise and vibration assessments, developing acoustic models, and preparing technical reports. The Acoustics Engineer will collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and project managers to integrate noise mitigation strategies into building and infrastructure designs.
The position also includes advising on materials and construction techniques to achieve optimal acoustic performance, ensuring regulatory compliance with Italian and EU noise control standards, and supporting project documentation for permitting processes.
Ideal candidates should be familiar with acoustic simulation software, measurement instruments, and environmental noise legislation. A strong understanding of building physics and attention to detail is essential for this role.
This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects across Italy, contributing to sustainable and acoustically optimized built environments in one of Europe’s most dynamic architectural landscapes.

Job Requirements: Acoustics Engineer
Location: Rome, Italy
Industry: Engineering & Architecture
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Acoustics, Building Physics, or Environmental Engineering is preferred. A minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in acoustics design, noise control, or vibration analysis within the engineering or construction industry is required.
Applicants must have hands-on experience in conducting acoustic measurements, noise mapping, and vibration assessments using industry-standard instruments and software (e.g., SoundPLAN, CadnaA, EASE, or Odeon). A solid understanding of Italian and EU noise regulations, including DPCM 5/12/1997 and UNI standards, is essential.
Proficiency in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, as well as integrating acoustic solutions into multidisciplinary design processes, is required. Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports, project documentation, and noise mitigation strategies.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills are necessary to coordinate with architects, engineers, regulatory bodies, and contractors. Fluency in Italian is mandatory; working knowledge of English is an advantage for technical documentation and international projects.
The role may involve occasional travel to project sites for field measurements, inspections, and client meetings. A proactive, detail-oriented approach is expected in all phases of project development.
