This role involves performing bodywork repairs on tractors, utility trucks, trailers, and other heavy-duty machinery essential to farming and fisheries operations.
Key responsibilities include inspecting vehicles for damage, removing dents, repairing or replacing panels, welding, sanding, and preparing surfaces for painting. The technician will also collaborate with painters and mechanics to restore vehicles to safe, operational condition while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Candidates must have experience in auto body repair, particularly with heavy-duty or agricultural vehicles, and be proficient in using various metalworking tools and equipment. The job requires working in both workshop settings and on-site locations such as farms and coastal facilities.
