This role is essential for ensuring the smooth movement, storage, and tracking of automotive parts and components used in agricultural and fisheries vehicles and machinery.
Key responsibilities include receiving, unloading, and organizing incoming materials; delivering parts to appropriate departments or workstations; and maintaining accurate inventory records. The handler will also ensure materials are handled safely, transported using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts or pallet jacks), and stored according to company procedures and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate has experience in materials handling, warehouse operations, or logistics within an industrial or mechanical environment. Familiarity with vehicle components used in the agriculture and fisheries industries is a plus. Strong attention to detail and physical capability to lift and move materials are essential.
Basic knowledge of inventory systems and Italian language proficiency are required for effective coordination and recordkeeping. The role also demands a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Applicants for the Automotive Material Handler position in Florence’s Agriculture & Fisheries sector must meet the following requirements:
Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or logistics. Prior work in automotive or agricultural equipment environments is preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with vehicle components and mechanical parts used in agricultural and fisheries machinery is advantageous.
Physical Ability: Good physical condition is required, including the ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 kg), operate material handling equipment, and stand or walk for extended periods.
Equipment Operation: Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse tools. Forklift certification is a strong asset.
Inventory Management: Basic knowledge of stock control procedures, labeling, storage standards, and use of inventory management software.

Communication Skills: Proficient in Italian for clear verbal and written communication with colleagues and supervisors.

Education: High school diploma or vocational qualification in logistics or mechanical fields is preferred.
