Job Description:
The 3D Printing Engineer in Qurain is tasked with developing, testing, and refining additive manufacturing solutions to support product innovation and low-volume production. This role involves selecting appropriate materials and technologies (SLA, SLS, FDM, etc.), generating 3D models, optimizing printing parameters, and overseeing the end-to-end 3D printing workflow. The engineer collaborates with product development, design, and manufacturing teams to integrate 3D printing into existing processes for prototyping, tooling, or direct part production.
Responsibilities include maintaining and calibrating 3D printers, post-processing printed components, resolving defects, and implementing quality checks. The engineer also researches new additive technologies, assists in cost analysis, and supports the development of digital inventory strategies to streamline spare parts production. Training staff on 3D printing best practices and ensuring compliance with safety and material handling protocols are also essential functions.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Industrial Design; 3–5 years of experience in 3D printing or additive manufacturing; proficiency in 3D CAD tools like SolidWorks or Fusion 360; hands-on experience with multiple 3D printing technologies; understanding of material properties, support structures, and build optimization; ability to troubleshoot and maintain 3D printing equipment; knowledge of post-processing techniques and quality assurance for printed parts.
