Job Description: Automation Engineer – Oman, Muscat
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our engineering team in Oman, Muscat. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity within industrial operations. Key responsibilities include programming and configuring PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMIs, as well as integrating new automation technologies with existing infrastructure.
The Automation Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and prepare detailed documentation including system layouts, schematics, and test procedures. They will also oversee the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automation equipment and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Control Engineering, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience in industrial automation. Strong knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and industrial communication protocols is essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
