Job Description:
The Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and processes across industrial and manufacturing environments in Lusail, Qatar. The role focuses on optimizing operational efficiency by integrating control systems, sensors, actuators, and software-based logic into production and facility operations. The engineer works closely with electrical engineers, software developers, and production managers to ensure seamless integration of automation technologies with electrical and electronic equipment.
Key responsibilities include programming PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), configuring HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems, troubleshooting automation hardware and software, and participating in the commissioning of automated lines. The Automation Engineer will also conduct risk assessments, document technical specifications, and contribute to system upgrades and preventive maintenance plans. Additional duties may involve deploying SCADA systems, testing control loops, and supporting Industry 4.0 initiatives such as IoT-enabled automation and predictive analytics.
