Job Description:
The Battery Repair Technician in Al Gharrafa, Qatar, is responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of batteries used in industrial, automotive, and consumer electronics. This role involves troubleshooting battery issues, performing reconditioning or recharging of batteries, and ensuring that they are operating at optimal capacity.
Key duties include inspecting batteries for faults, conducting tests to determine the cause of malfunctions, and replacing faulty cells or components. The technician is also responsible for maintaining and repairing battery management systems (BMS) that monitor battery health and ensure safe operation. Regular maintenance tasks include cleaning battery terminals, checking charging systems, and ensuring proper battery storage to prevent degradation.
The technician will also provide customers with advice on battery care, lifespan, and the best practices for extending battery life. The role involves handling various battery types, including lead-acid, lithium-ion, and other rechargeable systems, requiring a thorough understanding of battery chemistry and safety protocols. The technician must also comply with environmental regulations related to the disposal and recycling of used batteries.
The technician will be expected to keep detailed records of repairs, maintain inventory of battery parts, and ensure that all services are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
