Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Splicing Technician in Granada to support high-speed internet and telecom infrastructure. This role involves precision splicing of fiber optic cables in both residential and commercial installations, as well as troubleshooting network issues and conducting signal testing.
You will perform fusion splicing, connector terminations, and loss testing using OTDR and light source/power meters. Work includes outdoor and indoor field settings, sometimes in elevated or underground locations.
You’ll be part of a dynamic technical team maintaining seamless data transmission for critical communications infrastructure. Daily tasks include fiber routing, documentation, and coordination with project managers.
Job Requirement:
Candidates must have a diploma in telecommunications or electronics with at least 1 year of experience in fiber optic installation.
You must be able to read schematics, color codes, and splice documentation. Familiarity with OTDR, fusion splicers, and safety standards in cable handling is essential.
A valid driving license, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills are necessary. Ability to work independently in the field is expected.
