Job Requirement:
Training or apprenticeship in glassmaking or applied arts
Strong understanding of glass properties and behavior under heat
Skilled in glassblowing, kiln forming, casting, and cold working
Creative vision and a strong artistic portfolio
Ability to read design drawings and translate them into glass
Proficiency in color mixing, shaping, and finishing techniques
Experience handling hot shop tools and safety equipment
Knowledge of glass chemistry and materials compatibility
Precision and hand-eye coordination
Ability to collaborate with designers, clients, and galleries
Familiarity with contemporary and traditional glass art styles
Understanding of Basel’s artistic and craft communities
Excellent problem-solving in material shaping
Physical stamina for working in high-heat environments

Knowledge of exhibition, packaging, and transport practices
