In Zurich’s dynamic creative scene, this role involves applying aging effects, injuries, fantasy creatures, and futuristic aesthetics using latex, silicone, and digital references. Precision, creativity, and an understanding of human anatomy are essential. Responsibilities include sculpting and casting prosthetics, ensuring continuity on set, and adapting makeup to lighting and camera conditions. The artist must work under tight production deadlines and often during extended shoots. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals with a flair for dramatic transformation and artistic experimentation in a high-caliber production environment.

Job Requirement:

  • Certification or diploma in makeup artistry or special effects

  • Proficiency in prosthetics, latex work, and 3D sculpting

  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy and facial structures

  • Experience with blood effects, aging, wounds, and fantasy makeup

  • Ability to work with silicone, foam, and gel-based prosthetics

  • Portfolio demonstrating theatrical or cinematic transformations

  • Understanding of film lighting and camera interplay

  • Ability to follow creative briefs and design references

  • Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and skin allergies

  • Fluency in German preferred; English useful in Zurich

  • Time management for tight production schedules

  • Strong collaboration with directors, stylists, and FX teams

  • Comfort with long hours and on-set adjustments

  • Ability to maintain continuity across multiple scenes

  • Experience with both high-definition and stage formats

  • Attention to fine detail under varying lighting conditions

  • Familiarity with Zurich’s media and film industry

  • Adaptability across genres: horror, sci-fi, drama, etc.

  • Willingness to train in new tools and FX trends

  • Passion for cinematic storytelling through visual transformation
