Job Description: Summary: The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Engineer position in Dubai, UAE, within the Engineering & Manufacturing industry, involves utilizing BIM software and methodologies to support the design, coordination, and construction of building projects. The role primarily focuses on creating and managing digital models that facilitate collaboration, enhance project efficiency, and improve decision-making throughout the building lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: BIM modeling and coordination: Develop detailed 3D models of building systems and components using BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit). Coordinate and integrate architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems within the BIM environment to ensure clash detection and resolution. Design support: Assist architects, engineers, and designers in the development and visualization of building designs using BIM tools. Collaborate with project teams to implement design changes, analyze design options, and optimize building performance. Quantification and cost estimation: Utilize BIM models to extract quantities of materials and perform cost estimation for project bidding and procurement purposes. Generate accurate quantity takeoffs and produce bills of quantities based on the BIM data. Project coordination: Coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment and effective collaboration. Facilitate multidisciplinary coordination meetings and provide technical support to resolve clashes or conflicts in the BIM environment. Construction sequencing and visualization: Develop construction sequences and phasing plans using the BIM model to assist in project scheduling, logistics planning, and site management. Create visualizations, 4D simulations, and virtual walkthroughs to aid in project communication and stakeholder understanding. BIM standards and protocols: Implement and adhere to BIM standards, protocols, and best practices within the organization. Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), and promote continuous improvement in BIM processes and workflows. BIM data management: Manage and maintain the BIM database, including model versions, revisions, and documentation. Collaborate with project teams to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency throughout the project lifecycle. Training and support: Provide training and support to project teams in the effective use of BIM tools and methodologies. Conduct workshops or presentations to promote BIM awareness and educate stakeholders on BIM processes and benefits.

Job Requirement: Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or Bentley Systems software. Strong knowledge of BIM principles, processes, and standards (e.g., IFC, COBie). Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry practices related to building design and construction. Understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project management concepts. Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve coordination issues in the BIM environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and quality of BIM models and data. Familiarity with laser scanning and reality capture technologies is advantageous. Experience in BIM implementation and coordination in building projects is beneficial. Professional certifications related to BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) are advantageous.
