Job Description: Summary: The Chemical and Process Engineer position in Dubai, UAE, within the Engineering & Manufacturing industry, involves applying chemical engineering principles to design, optimize, and manage industrial processes. The role primarily focuses on developing efficient production processes, ensuring product quality, and maximizing resource utilization. Key Responsibilities: Process design and optimization: Design and optimize chemical and industrial processes to achieve efficient production, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability. Apply engineering principles and simulation tools to improve process efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Equipment selection and specification: Select and specify appropriate equipment, such as reactors, heat exchangers, and separators, based on process requirements and engineering standards. Collaborate with equipment vendors and suppliers to ensure equipment compatibility and performance. Process safety and risk assessment: Conduct process safety evaluations, hazard assessments, and risk analyses to identify potential risks and implement appropriate safeguards. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards to protect personnel, facilities, and the environment. Troubleshooting and optimization: Identify and resolve process-related issues, including equipment failures, production bottlenecks, and quality deviations. Analyze data, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to optimize process performance and ensure consistent product quality. Process control and automation: Design and implement process control systems to monitor and regulate process variables, ensuring stable and efficient operations. Utilize automation technologies, such as distributed control systems (DCS) and programmable logic controllers (PLC), to enhance process control and data acquisition. Quality assurance and process validation: Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure product specifications are met consistently. Establish validation protocols and perform process validation activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Environmental and sustainability considerations: Incorporate environmental considerations into process design and operations, aiming to minimize waste generation, energy consumption, and environmental impact. Evaluate and implement sustainable practices, such as cleaner production methods and waste treatment technologies. Collaboration and project management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production personnel, engineers, and scientists, to coordinate process improvement initiatives and project execution. Manage projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure timely and successful project completion.

Job Requirement: Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's or master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, process design, and optimization. Familiarity with process simulation software, such as Aspen Plus or HYSYS. Understanding of process safety, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance. Analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze process data, troubleshoot issues, and optimize operations. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. Knowledge of process control systems, automation technologies, and instrumentation. Understanding of quality assurance principles and validation processes. Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices in the manufacturing industry. Experience in the engineering and manufacturing industry, particularly in chemical process plants, is advantageous. Professional licensure or certification in Chemical Engineering is beneficial.
