Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Camel Herd Caretaker to manage the daily care and supervision of a camel herd on a livestock farm in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role is essential in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of camels used for breeding, racing, dairy production, or tourism.
Key responsibilities include feeding and watering camels, monitoring their health and behavior, assisting with breeding routines, and reporting any signs of illness or injury to a veterinarian or supervisor. The caretaker will be responsible for maintaining clean living environments, grooming the animals, and ensuring adherence to biosecurity and hygiene standards.
The role may also involve handling camels during veterinary procedures, transporting animals between enclosures, and assisting with training or exercise routines. A strong understanding of camel behavior, proper handling techniques, and general livestock care practices is critical.
The ideal candidate is observant, patient, physically capable of working long hours outdoors, and experienced in camel or large-animal care. This position requires flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays, depending on the needs of the herd.
