Job Description:
We are seeking a highly responsible and detail-oriented Medical Waste Management Technician to join our healthcare team in Al Ain. This role is critical in ensuring that medical waste, including hazardous, infectious, and pharmaceutical materials, is properly handled, segregated, treated, and disposed of in compliance with local and international safety standards.
The technician will be responsible for identifying, segregating, and safely packaging medical waste for transport. They will also oversee the proper labeling of waste containers, ensuring clear identification for disposal processes. The role involves regular inspections of waste storage areas, managing the safe transfer of waste to designated disposal facilities, and adhering to strict protocols for hazardous material handling.
In addition to waste collection and removal, the Medical Waste Management Technician will be involved in monitoring the waste management process and ensuring all records are maintained accurately for compliance audits. The technician will also work closely with infection control teams to ensure that safety and cleanliness are upheld throughout the process.
This position requires knowledge of the health and safety regulations regarding waste disposal, as well as physical stamina to perform manual tasks and the ability to follow precise disposal procedures.
