Job Description:
We are seeking a courteous and physically capable Patient Transport Porter to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of patients throughout the hospital in Abu Dhabi. This role is essential for ensuring timely transfers between departments such as emergency, radiology, surgery, and inpatient wards, while maintaining the dignity, comfort, and safety of patients at all times.
The porter will be responsible for operating stretchers, wheelchairs, and hospital beds, assisting patients with mobility needs, and following protocols for infection control and patient identification. Additional responsibilities include transferring medical records, supplies, and equipment as needed. The role requires strong communication skills to coordinate with nurses and clinical staff regarding transport readiness and destination timing.
Ideal candidates are dependable, compassionate, and able to work under pressure in a busy healthcare environment. The role involves long periods of walking and standing, as well as lifting and repositioning patients, which necessitates physical endurance and proper lifting technique.
