Job Description: We are currently seeking skilled Construction Carpenters to join our team in Vancouver, Canada. As a Construction Carpenter in the shipbuilding and ship machinery industry, you will play a crucial role in the construction, installation, and repair of wooden structures and components for ships and marine vessels. Your expertise in carpentry, knowledge of construction techniques, and attention to detail will contribute to the successful completion of our projects. Responsibilities: Construct, install, and repair wooden structures, including decks, bulkheads, cabinetry, and furniture, on ships and marine vessels. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation requirements. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wooden components using various hand and power tools. Install and fit wooden structures and components with precision, ensuring proper alignment and functionality. Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to ensure seamless integration of carpentry work with other ship components. Follow safety protocols and adhere to applicable regulations and industry standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent. Continuously update knowledge and skills in carpentry techniques and technologies.

Job Requirement: Previous experience as a Construction Carpenter or similar role, preferably in the shipbuilding industry. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications related to carpentry work. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials. Ability to measure, cut, shape, and assemble wooden components with precision. Attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations related to carpentry work. Valid certifications or licenses related to carpentry are an asset.
