Job Description: We are currently seeking a Construction Electrician Helper to join our team in Windsor, Canada. As a Construction Electrician Helper in the shipbuilding and ship machinery industry, you will assist the electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on ships and marine vessels. Your support in running wires, assembling electrical components, and maintaining a safe work environment will contribute to the success of our projects. Responsibilities: Assist electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on ships and marine vessels. Run wires, pull cables, and connect electrical components under the guidance of electricians. Assemble and disassemble electrical equipment and fixtures. Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and conducting basic electrical tests. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Assist in maintaining an inventory of electrical supplies and equipment. Collaborate with other team members and tradespeople to ensure the efficient workflow and completion of projects. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent. Continuously learn and develop skills in electrical systems and shipbuilding processes.
Job Requirement: Prior experience as a Construction Electrician Helper or similar role is preferred. Basic knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment. Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards. Ability to follow instructions and work under the guidance of electricians. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring manual labor. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations related to electrical work is an asset. Valid certifications or licenses related to electrical work are a plus.
