Job Description:
The Duct Cleaning Technician in Quebec City is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining air ducts and HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The technician uses specialized tools and vacuums to remove dust, mold, debris, and contaminants from ventilation systems, improving air quality and system efficiency.
Daily responsibilities include assessing ductwork conditions, sealing off sections to prevent contamination, inserting brushes or compressed air tools, and documenting completed work. The technician may also inspect HVAC units, replace filters, and identify areas needing repair or sanitization.
This role requires physical stamina, technical skills, and an understanding of air system layouts. The technician must follow all safety guidelines, particularly when handling mold, allergens, or working in confined spaces. This position plays a vital role in energy conservation and occupant health.
Job Requirement:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC training or duct cleaning certification is an asset.
Experience: Minimum 1 year in duct cleaning, HVAC maintenance, or environmental services preferred.
Skills:
Proficient with duct cleaning tools and inspection equipment.
Knowledge of HVAC systems and air quality protocols.
