Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in North York, Canada. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maneuvering various types of heavy machinery and equipment. Your role will involve performing tasks such as excavation, grading, loading, and hauling materials to support construction and other industrial operations. Key Responsibilities: Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery and equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and forklifts. Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials using the appropriate equipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Excavation and Grading: Perform excavation and grading tasks as required for construction projects, land development, or other industrial operations. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, perform basic maintenance tasks, and report any equipment malfunctions or damages to the appropriate personnel. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring the safe operation of heavy equipment and the protection of personnel and property. Communication: Maintain effective communication with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow and coordination of tasks. Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including logbooks and inspection reports, accurately and in a timely manner. Site Cleanup: Assist with site cleanup and general labor duties as needed to support overall project requirements.
Job Requirement: Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator, preferably in the industrial machinery and heavy equipment industry. Valid Licenses: Possess valid certifications and licenses required to operate specific heavy equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, or forklifts. Equipment Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in operating and maneuvering heavy machinery and equipment, with a strong understanding of equipment capabilities and limitations. Safety Consciousness: Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and practices. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and follow instructions. Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including standing, bending, and operating heavy equipment for extended periods.
