Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Millwright to join our team in Winnipeg, Canada. As a Maintenance Millwright, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and heavy equipment. Your role will involve troubleshooting mechanical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring the proper functioning of equipment to optimize productivity and minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial machinery and heavy equipment based on maintenance schedules and manufacturer guidelines. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment, identifying the root causes and implementing appropriate solutions to minimize downtime. Preventive Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubrication, and parts replacement, to prevent breakdowns and ensure equipment reliability. Equipment Installation: Install new machinery and equipment according to specifications and blueprints, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and functionality. Repair Work: Conduct repairs on faulty components, systems, and machinery, utilizing hand and power tools, precision instruments, and diagnostic equipment. Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required for equipment repairs, modifications, and customizations. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures when working with machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory documentation as required.

Job Requirement: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a recognized millwright apprenticeship program or relevant technical certifications in millwrighting is required. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Millwright, preferably working with industrial machinery and heavy equipment. Millwright Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and heavy equipment. Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems commonly found in industrial machinery. Welding and Fabrication: Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques, including the ability to interpret blueprints and perform metalwork. Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently. Safety Consciousness: Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and practices. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in performing maintenance tasks, inspecting equipment, and documenting maintenance activities accurately. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
