We are looking for a skilled Asphalt Roller Operator to join our team in Florence, supporting road construction and maintenance projects within the Agriculture & Fisheries sector. The operator will be responsible for operating asphalt rollers to ensure proper compaction of asphalt surfaces for roads, paths, and access areas on agricultural sites, fisheries, and irrigation facilities. This role requires expertise in controlling equipment, monitoring material quality, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate asphalt rollers to compact and level asphalt or other materials on roads, access paths, and work areas within agricultural or fisheries sites.
Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper compaction, smoothness, and uniformity of the surface.
Inspect the roller equipment before, during, and after use to ensure proper functionality and perform routine maintenance tasks.
Collaborate with other construction crews, including supervisors and laborers, to meet project goals and deadlines.
Follow safety guidelines and environmental regulations to ensure safe working practices.
Document work progress, including materials used, surface quality, and equipment performance.
Qualifications:
Valid heavy equipment operator certification.
Minimum 2 years of experience operating asphalt rollers in road construction or related industries.
Knowledge of asphalt compaction techniques and road construction.
Fluent in Italian; basic English is a plus.
