A Biohazardous Materials Handler in the Agriculture & Fisheries sector in Rome is responsible for managing the safe handling, storage, and disposal of biohazardous materials in healthcare and industrial facilities supporting agricultural and fisheries workers. This role is essential in preventing contamination, ensuring safety, and complying with environmental and health regulations.
Key responsibilities include collecting, sorting, and transporting biohazardous waste materials, such as contaminated needles, medical waste, and biological samples. The Biohazardous Materials Handler ensures that all waste is securely contained, labeled, and transported to designated disposal areas in compliance with local regulations and safety standards. They are responsible for maintaining detailed records of materials handled, ensuring proper documentation for compliance purposes.
Additionally, the Biohazardous Materials Handler monitors storage areas for biohazardous materials to ensure they are secure and well-maintained.
