A Biomedical Engineering Technician in the Agriculture & Fisheries sector in Florence is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of medical technologies used in occupational health facilities, mobile clinics, and remote healthcare units that serve agricultural and fisheries workers. The role focuses on the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Key responsibilities include performing regular inspections and testing of diagnostic and therapeutic devices such as blood pressure monitors, ECG machines, autoclaves, and portable imaging systems. The technician collaborates with medical staff to ensure equipment readiness and provides user guidance on safe handling. Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related technical field
Experience with medical equipment used in primary and occupational health settings
Knowledge of EU and Italian medical device regulations and standards
Strong diagnostic and repair skills
Proficiency in Italian; additional language skills are an advantage
