Job Description:

Job Title: Dietary Aide
Location: Rome, Italy
Industry: Agriculture & Fisheries

Job Description:
The Dietary Aide supports food service operations within healthcare and residential facilities in Rome, ensuring that meals are prepared and served in alignment with nutritional standards and patient dietary needs. Working under the Agriculture & Fisheries industry, the role emphasizes the use of locally sourced, seasonal ingredients from regional farms and fisheries to promote health and sustainability.

Primary responsibilities include assisting in meal preparation, portioning food according to dietary requirements, and delivering meals to patients and residents. The aide works closely with cooks and dietitians to ensure special diets are followed, including those for individuals with allergies, diabetes, or other medical conditions.

Additional tasks include maintaining cleanliness in food service areas, washing dishes, restocking supplies, and following food safety protocols such as HACCP. The Dietary Aide ensures food is handled and presented properly while supporting efficient kitchen operations.

The role directly contributes to the well-being of patients and supports Italy’s broader goal of integrating sustainable, local food systems into public health services. A strong understanding of nutrition, hygiene, and local agricultural products is key to success in this position.
