We are seeking a creative and environmentally conscious Urban Landscape Designer to join our team in Rome within the Engineering & Architecture industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and enhancing urban outdoor spaces that integrate functionality, aesthetics, and ecological balance.
Key responsibilities include preparing conceptual and detailed landscape designs for public spaces such as parks, plazas, streetscapes, and green infrastructure projects. The designer will collaborate with architects, engineers, urban planners, and municipal authorities to develop site-specific solutions that respond to both environmental conditions and community needs.
Duties involve conducting site analyses, selecting appropriate plant species, and designing with sustainable principles in mind, including water management, biodiversity support, and climate adaptation. The role also includes preparing technical drawings, 3D visualizations, and cost estimates, as well as supporting permit applications and construction oversight.
The ideal candidate should possess strong design sensibility, proficiency in landscape design software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS, and Adobe Creative Suite), and knowledge of Italian urban planning and environmental regulations. A passion for livable cities and green design solutions is essential.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Architecture, or a related field. A Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning is preferred. A minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in urban landscape design or public realm projects is required, preferably within Italy or the EU.
Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in landscape design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS tools. Experience with 3D modeling and visual rendering software (e.g., Lumion, Rhino, Revit) is highly desirable.
A strong understanding of plant ecology, sustainable urban development, and Italian environmental and zoning regulations is essential. Candidates must be able to develop and present conceptual and technical designs, prepare planting plans, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, visual presentation, and project documentation skills are required. Fluency in Italian is mandatory; knowledge of English is advantageous for working on international or cross-regional projects.
