Job Description:
The Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Officer in AI Farwaniyah is tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining an effective AML program to prevent the institution from being used for money laundering or terrorist financing activities. The officer plays a critical role in monitoring transactions, investigating suspicious activity, and filing regulatory reports such as Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, overseeing customer due diligence (CDD), enhancing know-your-customer (KYC) frameworks, and training staff on AML policies. The officer liaises with financial intelligence units (FIUs) and ensures the institution complies with AML laws and international standards.
This role is vital for safeguarding the integrity and reputation of the financial institution.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, or Criminology; CAMS certification is highly desirable.
Minimum of 4–6 years in AML compliance within financial services.
Strong knowledge of AML laws, sanctions, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Experience with transaction monitoring systems and case management platforms.
Excellent investigation, analytical, and documentation skills.
Familiarity with FATF guidelines and local AML legislation.
Strong ethics, attention to detail, and ability to work discreetly with sensitive information
