We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Electrician to join our industrial facility in Oman, Izki. The Plant Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and components within the plant. This includes ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical installations, machinery, lighting, and control systems used in production and facility operations.
Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings; conducting routine inspections to identify potential issues; and responding promptly to electrical faults and breakdowns. The electrician will also be responsible for installing circuit breakers, transformers, motors, control panels, and other electrical components, while ensuring compliance with national electrical codes and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate should possess a diploma or ITI certification in Electrical Engineering, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant setting. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety practices, and the ability to work with minimal supervision is essential. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and preventive maintenance systems is an advantage.

Applicants must have in-depth knowledge of electrical wiring, motors, control panels, circuit breakers, transformers, and industrial automation systems. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals is mandatory. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and preventive maintenance practices will be considered a strong asset.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot electrical faults efficiently, adhere to electrical safety codes and standards, and perform under pressure in breakdown situations. Good physical fitness, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in shifts, including weekends or on-call duty, are required.
Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and communication abilities are essential, along with a commitment to maintaining high safety and operational standards. Preference will be given to candidates with previous Gulf experience and knowledge of local electrical regulations. Fluency in English is desirable.
