Job Description:
The Dockside Laborer in Al Shahaniya is responsible for performing manual tasks associated with cargo handling at shipping docks, including loading and unloading vessels, securing cargo, and preparing goods for transport or storage. Duties involve lifting, carrying, stacking, and moving heavy or bulky items either manually or with the aid of equipment such as dollies and hand trucks. The laborer assists port handlers and logistics teams in maintaining a steady flow of goods and ensures that dock operations run efficiently and safely.
Additional responsibilities include clearing dock areas of debris, checking cargo for visible damage, and reporting irregularities to supervisors. The role demands physical endurance, attention to safety regulations, and the ability to work under varying weather conditions, especially during peak maritime or industrial activity.
Job Requirement:
Education: Basic literacy; high school education preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in port, dock, or warehouse settings is beneficial.
