Job Description: Agricultural Systems Engineer – Zurich (Agriculture & Fisheries Industry)

We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Agricultural Systems Engineer to join our team in Zurich, working within the Agriculture & Fisheries sector. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing systems that enhance the efficiency, productivity, and sustainability of agricultural operations.

Key responsibilities include developing and improving irrigation systems, soil and crop monitoring technologies, automated machinery, and farm infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with farmers, agronomists, and researchers to evaluate current processes and implement modern engineering solutions tailored to specific crop or livestock needs. Duties also include conducting feasibility studies, preparing technical documentation, and overseeing system installation and maintenance.

The ideal candidate should have a solid background in agricultural engineering, systems design, and environmental sustainability. Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and project management skills are essential, along with a good understanding of precision agriculture, data integration, and energy-efficient practices.

This is a full-time role based in Zurich, requiring both office and field work. Proficiency in German is required; knowledge of English or French is a plus. Applicants must hold a valid Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship.
