Job Description:
The Central Sterile Processing Technician in Konya is responsible for the decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. This role ensures that all patient care areas receive properly sterilized instruments and supplies to meet clinical needs and support safe patient care.
Daily tasks include receiving used medical instruments, performing thorough cleaning and decontamination processes, and operating sterilization equipment such as autoclaves. The technician is responsible for inspecting instruments for functionality, assembling surgical instrument trays, and maintaining inventory control of sterile supplies.
The role also involves detailed record-keeping to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and sterilization standards. The technician works in close coordination with operating theatres, nursing units, and other departments to meet demand for sterile equipment.
Job Requirement:
Candidates must possess a certification in Central Sterile Processing or a related qualification. Prior experience in sterile processing within a healthcare facility is highly preferred.
Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control practices, and equipment handling is essential. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and strict adherence to protocols are required. Fluency in Turkish is mandatory.
