Job Description:
A prominent household in Dubai is seeking a dedicated and attentive Animal Care Attendant to ensure the daily well-being and comfort of their domestic animals. The role involves a wide range of tasks related to animal care, including feeding, grooming, cleaning, monitoring health, and ensuring all pets are engaged, exercised, and emotionally supported throughout the day. The attendant will be expected to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for the animals, including regular disinfection of bedding areas, food bowls, and litter areas or cages.
Responsibilities also include recording feeding schedules, noting behavior or health changes, assisting with vet visits, and administering medication when needed under supervision. The attendant may be responsible for maintaining pet supplies inventory and coordinating with pet service providers. This role requires a nurturing approach, quick responsiveness to animal needs, and a good understanding of pet behavior and basic training techniques.
Working closely with family members and household staff, the Animal Care Attendant must be trustworthy, discreet, and fully committed to the safety and happiness of the pets. This is a live-out position, but flexibility in working hours is required, including evenings, weekends, or during family travels.
Job Requirement:
Applicants should have prior experience caring for animals in households, shelters, veterinary clinics, or farms. While formal education is not mandatory, a background in animal care or veterinary assistance is a plus. Candidates must be physically fit, reliable, and genuinely passionate about working with animals. The role demands strong observational skills, basic understanding of animal health and safety, and good communication skills in English. Patience, responsibility, and the ability to follow detailed pet care routines are critical to this position.
