Job Description:

The Maintenance Warranty Claims Specialist in Dubai manages and processes warranty claims related to ship systems and components during the post-delivery support period. This role serves as the key interface between shipowners, shipbuilders, suppliers, and OEMs to ensure timely resolution of equipment malfunctions covered under warranty.

Core responsibilities include reviewing and validating service reports, maintenance logs, and failure documentation submitted by clients or technical service teams. The specialist prepares warranty claim files, verifies eligibility against warranty terms, and coordinates with internal technical teams or vendors for repair approvals, part replacements, or reimbursements. They also monitor warranty periods, track open claims, and maintain accurate claim databases for reporting and auditing purposes.

Additionally, the specialist analyzes recurring issues for trending insights, provides input to quality assurance and engineering departments, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. The role demands strong organizational skills and technical familiarity with marine equipment to effectively assess claims validity and urgency.

Job Requirement:

A diploma or degree in marine engineering, mechanical engineering, or technical administration is required. 4–6 years of experience in warranty claim processing, preferably in the shipbuilding or heavy equipment industry, is essential. Familiarity with ship maintenance workflows, OEM warranty protocols, and maritime repair documentation is important. Proficiency in ERP or warranty management software, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills are required. Knowledge of class-certified equipment and IMO regulations is a plus.
