Job Description: Summary: The Microbiologist in the science and pharmaceutical industry plays a vital role in studying microorganisms, identifying pathogens, and ensuring the safety and quality of products and processes. They conduct research, perform microbiological tests, and provide recommendations to prevent contamination and maintain a sterile environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform microbiological analysis on samples, such as raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples, to identify microorganisms and assess microbial contamination levels. Isolate and culture microorganisms using aseptic techniques, including media preparation, inoculation, and incubation. Conduct microbial identification tests, including biochemical, molecular, and serological methods. Analyze and interpret test results to determine the presence of harmful bacteria, viruses, fungi, or other microorganisms. Develop and validate microbiological test methods and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and implement effective microbiological control measures in manufacturing processes, cleanrooms, and laboratories. Monitor and maintain the sterility of equipment, instruments, and facilities, following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Investigate and troubleshoot microbiological issues, deviations, or non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Stay updated with industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices related to microbiology, sterility assurance, and microbial risk management. Document and maintain accurate records of test results, laboratory procedures, and quality control measures.

Job Requirement: Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field. Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques, including aseptic techniques, microbial culture, and identification methods. Experience in conducting microbiological tests and interpreting results. Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards in the science and pharmaceutical industry. Proficient in using microbiological laboratory equipment and instruments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve microbiological issues. Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and maintaining records. Strong written and verbal communication skills to report findings and communicate with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment. Knowledge of microbiological safety, sterility assurance, and quality control practices. Familiarity with microbiological control strategies in manufacturing processes and cleanroom environments. Understanding of microbial risk assessment and mitigation techniques.
