Job Description: Summary: The Forensic Scientist in the science and pharmaceutical industry is responsible for applying scientific knowledge and techniques to analyze and interpret physical evidence in criminal investigations. They play a crucial role in collecting, examining, and evaluating forensic evidence to support legal proceedings and contribute to the resolution of crimes. Key Responsibilities: Collect and preserve physical evidence from crime scenes following established protocols and chain of custody procedures. Conduct laboratory analysis of forensic evidence, such as fingerprints, DNA, fibers, firearms, drugs, or biological materials. Utilize scientific techniques, instruments, and methodologies to analyze and interpret evidence accurately. Perform tests, examinations, and comparisons to identify and link evidence to individuals, objects, or events. Prepare detailed reports and documentation of analysis findings, including conclusions and expert opinions, for legal purposes. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, legal professionals, and other forensic experts to provide expert testimony in court proceedings. Stay updated with advancements in forensic science, new analytical techniques, and legal developments related to forensic evidence. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results. Adhere to strict quality control and quality assurance practices in all forensic analysis processes. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing forensic science.

Job Requirement: Requirements: Bachelor's or master's degree in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field. Previous experience working as a Forensic Scientist in a forensic laboratory or law enforcement agency. Strong knowledge of forensic science principles, techniques, and methodologies. Proficiency in the use of forensic laboratory equipment, instruments, and software. Familiarity with forensic evidence collection, preservation, and chain of custody procedures. Sound understanding of criminal investigation processes and legal requirements. Analytical and critical-thinking skills to interpret complex evidence and draw reliable conclusions. Attention to detail and meticulousness in conducting forensic analysis and maintaining accurate records. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports and present findings. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced forensic environment. Knowledge of quality control practices, laboratory safety protocols, and accreditation standards. Familiarity with digital forensics and the analysis of digital evidence is an added advantage.
